Yosemite and Death Valley National Parks
After some crazy days in San Francisco, we were more than ready to go back to the wilderness! Yosemite National Park first, refreshing and full of nice hiking opportunities. Then Death Valley National Park...to experience the heat and enjoy the amazing scenery.
On top of Sentinel Dome, an easy hike to an outstanding view.
Sunset with view on the famous Half Dome.
A nice hike to Vernal Falls...happy to be there at the end of the day when the crowds of people are on their way down.
Relaxing and enjoying the river in the valley.
An overnight trip to May Lake for the boys: a nice walk, beautiful lake to fish in, a fire and a night in the tent, away from the girls! What else do they need to be happy!?!
Schoolwork on the lake side...just long enough to dry a bit before getting back to the water.
Visiting Tuolomne Grove and its giant sequoias...it seems that we hadn't had enough big trees in the Redwood National Park!!!
30th of July: Heading East to Death Valley National Park. It feels like being in a giant sauna...or being taken under a powerful hair-dryer! But the landscapes are amazing.
Beautiful encounter with a skinny coyote.
Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America and certainly one of the warmest on earth.
